HELP Flash Card Issues

Have just got back from helping an old mate out at a wedding (thank god it wasn't my own)

Have gone to download the pics which I shot on RAW and they are coming up as JPEGS thus they are saying they are corrupt! I have tried remaing them back whick didn't work :cry:

You've got no .CR2 files showing at all?

How are you viewing them - through what software?

As RH said - it could just be the software you are using which thinks they are jpegs and they are actually ok when using the proper software.

Don't know what camera you are using but some SLR's will shoot both JPG and RAW don't forget. So you could be seeing the JPG's and the RAW's are there aswell somewhere.

Don't you need to download a raw plug-in in order for Windows to see RAW files? That was certainly the case a couple of year ago.

EDIT: Like this (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/prophoto/raw.mspx)?? Is this still required? Judging by the comment about it now supporting the 5D, it looks relatively recent.
