View Full Version : opinions on Grundig MFW 70 490/8 ?
Unbeatable are currently doing this 28 inch 100hz super flat screen with virtual dolby surround for about 500 quid (without cabinet). Does anyone have any experience of the set ? All I could really find was a link to grundigs site which is here (http://www.grundig.co.uk/products/xentia.html#e) - apart from that I could find very little on it. Anyone have any views or know what the reputation of Grundig sets is ?
Thanks
Habes
I have'nt seen any reviews on the TV you mentioned, but if your after a excellent 28 Inch WS TV then you can'nt go wrong with the below, is winning many awards for best 'Budget' WS TV, I and many others on the board rate it verty highly like most reviews.

Hi,
I have seen this on Tottenham Court Road for 599 including the PIP module.
I was looking for reviews and opinions too. If you have found some could you let me know.
BTW - apparently all Grundig tvs come with a free 5 year manufacturer warranty
Cheers,
Peter

It looks OK, a bit like the Loewe sets with a frame around the picture and the speakers set underneath rather than at the sides. It has a stand which is the same design as the surround and opens up to some shelves for video, dvd, etc.
I found a review on home-entertainment.co.uk for the 32 inch, they thought it was pretty good. From what I saw, it looked as good as the other TVs in the shop but they were running from a poor analogue signal. But the aspect ratio looked OK.....
Cheers,
Peter
