Xbox live subscription about to end - does it automatically renew and charge me?

As title really - will my credit card automatically be charged when my xbox live account finishes or will it just end?

i think it renews automatically, unless you cancel , or enter new code yourself (as you won't want to pay the full price!)

I should expect it ends when your subscription expires, or at least I'd darn well hope so. That is what you paid for.

Well that's what I'd hope but it's not clear on the webpage. Has anyone tried it and know for definate?

You have to phone them to cancel anyway I believe, so you could just ask while doing it.

I cancelled my account over the telephone and still got charged £40, I rang them to complain and now I have been told that my account is cancelled but will have to wait 4 weeks for a refund! :oh-hum:

Cancelled mine a few months back and yep, it will carry on working until the time your subscription was actually due to expire.

Excellent thanks. Mine was due to expire this month but I stuck another 3 months on it to get the Forza demo and Halo 3 beta

mine just dropped back to silver until i input a new code.

Probobly because the CC number it had had expired.

I'm sure they wouldve charged me if they could have.
