Just got my first HD TV.
The 37" Panny Plasma that has been talked about in the bargain forum.
At the moment I have a standard DVD player (a Pioneer, about 3 years old) and a Virgin V+ box connected to the HD TV by scart.
I'm going to get a HDMI cable for the V+ box (even though there isn't much HD content).
As I will be watching standard def the vast majority of the time, which cable would give me the best picture? Component?
Also, if the HDMI cable was the only connection between the TV and V+ box, would I still get a picture on standard def channels? And if so how would it compare to scart?
Any other tips would be great.
Cheers.
