Hi guys

Iv been thinking of buyig a DSL in the next couple of months and was wondering if you could give me some advice.

Im going to Finland in early January and really want to get some great shots of the northern lights so definitely looking for something that works great in dark conditions. I was thinking of going for either the Canon 350D - 400D or maybe the Nikon D40. Would any of these be a good choice?

I dont really have much of a budget and really dont know a great deal on night photography so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

Any DSLR should make a decent job of it. I would have thought it was more a question of what is the best lens to use. Has anybody here seen the lights? How wide will arkham's lens have to go to get decent shots?
