Okay so I've got £100 - 150 to spend... don't car what camera I get as long as it's Produo compatible... Got loads of these mem cards going to waste and a little slot on my laptop for them to go in but nothing to actually use them on....

Camera must be good for taking photos at gigs

basically all sony cameras as its a sony product.

have a look at

this (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000MVT4ZE/thedvdforums-21) and this (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000MVWPZA/thedvdforums-21)

I think the only real diffrence between the 2 is the LCD viewer

I saw one that's going for £300 12MP.... How much would I be able to get it for in Hong Kong.

Basically... I leave next week and sites recommend that if you're gonna buy stuff like cameras you know the models/makes you're interested in before you go.

SHops have a habit of selling the tourist folk older models for a princley sum since there's a larger selection out there, then there is on these shores...

But the cybershot series looks nice... the SLRs look like they wouldn't get past security at a gig

Theres no point in getting a 12MP compact camera, you wont get any real improvements in image quality over a 6MP camera as quality is mainly affected by the quality of the lens not camera.

It'll also eat memory card space for breakfast.

So a 6 - 8MP camera will do the business?

I'd like an SLR but like I said, security at gigs would prolly nick it off me
