I saw this last night and I think I got what I expected having seen the trailer.

John Travolta plays the father in a divorced marige. The mother is getting married again and the new hubby is may not be the nice guy he origionally seemed. Of course Travoltas son is the only one who knowes so on and so forth.

It's not a BAD movie, it has just been done before a thousand times and is very predictible.

I think the acting in general was good and it was a good enough way to spend an hour and a half of my evening.

It's not the kind of movie I would buy or desire to see again in a hurry, but it's enjoyable none the less.

5/10

I can imagine it getting plent of critisism round here.. So what did y'all think?

I'll pretty much second all of that.

It's nicely set up - Becker is always a competent director - and Travolta is solid.

But it's not high art by any stretch and sadly decends into a 'He's behind you' scenario as soon as the good guy gets the evidence that will convince everyone he's not crazy.

Also, the central incident which sets up the film - the kid in the car - is a bit ridiculous. Why is he stowing away with a man he doesn't like? Unless it's to kick start the movie!

I'll go along with 5/10. With a slight push.

I haven't seen the film, and don't need to - the trailer told you absolutely everything you need to know. I can't imagine that there are any surprises left.

Domestic Disturbance is about a couple Susan and Frank Morrison that have divorced and caught in the middle is their son Danny who is always telling lies. John Travolta (Pulp Fiction) plays Frank who tries to help his son Danny, come to terms with his Stepfather Rick.

Danny witnesses Rick (Vince Vaughn - Psycho) murdering an old business acquaintance. He tells the cops, who don’t believe him and neither does his mother Susan (Teri Polo - Meet the Parents). Danny then lives in fear of his life living with his new found Stepfather.

The acting is good enough from Vaughn as the Psychotic Stepfather, but really standard stuff from Travolta. This film is not very convincing as plot is rather silly and has a few plot holes. It’s a very slow film and ends far too abruptly so wait till it arrives for rental as it’s an average film really.
