Media Centre PC

OK I ordered a barebones Media Centre (Elonex Artisan), waiting for it to arrive.

Now the thing is I want this to replace my DVD player and freeview box. This would free up the RGB scart socket on my LCD.

So if I purchased a VGA to RGB scart lead, would this produce the same image standard as if it were plugged into the VGA port? This may be a stupid question but I need the VGA for my 360 :(

Why not go to the DVI socket on the LCD? That should be a lot better than a Scart connection!

Other option is get a VGA switcher maybe? Or use component on the XBox?

I bought a Joytech Tri Link HDMI box which should solve the problem (When I get my graphics card for MCPC with DVI output).
