I am getting a DVD player for a relative and i am stuck between getting a Samsung M-105 or a LG4710.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these players and has successfully hacked it and made it multi region?

If so could you please post what you do to hack it?

See the DVD chips ad at the bottom of the page for the Samsung mod. Costs you 20 quid. They don't seem to list the LG model you specified though.

check DVD Reviewer (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.asp) to see if there is a remote hack.

The Lg model has a quite simple remote hack and also definatly plays RCE discs.

jonopow do you have the Lg hack and if so could you post it for me or even give me a link to the site were i can get the hack from?

I know the Sammy does not have a hack.

How do you know there is no hack?

I know on this page it says it won't work if the player has a certain firmware version.

But how would you find out what version the player was in the first place?

The last time I looked for a friend, there was no hack for the Samsung DVD-M105.
