CSI Season 1-6 boxsets - fake or real?

I am not going to link to where these are available as I don't want the thread closed, but there seem to be several places selling these - entire series 1-6 in a single official looking boxset. My concern is that they are often described as 'imports' and are region free - which sounds suspect to me. Are these genuine, or am I about to be ripped off with some dodgy chinese pirate?

Some are genuine and some aren't. These kind of things appear on ebay for loads of different series. Check the seller feedback and if they're dodgy copies there'll usually be a comment on it, especially if they're advertised as genuine.

it's gonna be fake. There is no official 'complete series 1-6' in a single boxset in any region. Just the individual season boxsets (or half-season boxsets that we get in this country)

There was a season 1-3 AND a seasons 1-4 boxset here in the UK, both were online exclusives (Amazon and ??) but NO seasons 1-6 boxsets...

They are the normal R2 2 part sets in a big cardboard sleeve. Only, Season 6 Part 2 is out atm.

Excellent price at £135 but customs on top would put it up quite a bit.

That poster was saying series 1 to 6 couldn't be bought in a single boxset which is true. All they are doing is selling all the CSI sets released so far as a big package. They are still in the individual boxsets.

Thanks for the links - the 1-6 boxset linked to above is totally different to the one I have seen 'elsewhere', so I can assume that one is a fake, and some scum is not getting £40 plus for a copy!

The price at £40 is the huge giveaway there.

£40 second hand is not that unlikely. Looking at ebay there are several of these (listed as genuine factory sealed) going for nearly £100 - pretty much what you might expect to pay for a real copy.

£40 is too cheap even second hand if you expect all 6 seasons. They go for around £30 per season on both R1 and R2 most of the time (R2 sales). Only the first couple of seasons are usually cheaper on R1.
