Centre rear speaker(s)

Is it possible to run 2 speakers through 1 connection on an amp.

The speakers in question are the Kef eggs (2) to go into a Denon 2802 6.1 capability. Can they be run 'in series' or 'parallel' ? I guess it depends on the ohms etc. ??? Or would there be no difference between having 1 or 2 centre rears ?

Any thoughts appreciated, as I don't want to blow up my kit :)

I would certainly be cautious about presenting a load with a low ohmic value to your amp.As i'm not familiar with that model i don't know if it is designed to be happy driving ,say a 4 ohm load.What does the manufacturer recommend? I would imagine it is one speaker.Do you feel it needs a centre rear? I connected one to my Sony 1070 as a temp measure to try it out and concluded it wasn't worth lifting the boards to run more cables.
