Woa what an episode, this is what 24 should be!
Chloe and Jack going under the radar going against the Government to get an FCB circuit board from the suitcase nukes for the Chinese!
Top moments
- Jack's "I'm Jack Bauer I saved these nukes... I have orders from the President... WHAT'S YOUR NAME.... I WANT YOUR NAME TOO NOW"
- Chloe's "dammit" - she's so cute when she says that
- Chloe's "you did?" "You have?" when Morris thought his system was hacked and "I'll get back to you" when Morris asked how long she'd keep it over his head for.
- Vice President and Lisa (her last name was stated this episode, I've forgotten it) are going to "spend more time together"....see they are going to bang.
- The laughable President Palmer collapsing at the Press Conference, oh well I guess having the 25th amendment twice (maybe three times) in a season was a new twist... which means we're carbon copying Season 2 last 7 episodes of Jack vs the Vice President who got to become President after the 25th amendment because he disagrees with a Palmer Brother.
- "You can't go against the White House" - Wanna bet?
We had a "we're running out of time" .... close ... close!
Jack uses his manbag too, well loads it, doesn't use it in combat.. maybe next week..
There, that's my recap, back to reading the Ofcom Draft Annual Plan 2007/2008 (it's more boring than it sounds).

Have you got a job now or something? Late with the recap this week
We had Jack going 'off the grid' at the end, which surely crosses another off the 24-bingo board?

Have you got a job now or something? Late with the recap this week  Naaa, job interview tomorrow morning 8:30-5:15 (had one yesterday too), it's like they actively conspire against people waking up at 2pm. Thankfully the jobs are starting in June, so I can easily quit when 24 S7 starts in January ;)
We had Jack going 'off the grid' at the end, which surely crosses another off the 24-bingo board? Good point, no one has said it yet though. I'm still wondering how Jack was able to interpret a "cold call" from Bill to Doyle, yet a REALLY cold nervous call from The Late Jack's Brother's Wife where she's acting all nervous, he doesn't have a clue.
Maybe this mess will mean the VP gets Division involved, which involves Chloe opening sockets for them to do their job, then the Bingo board is practically completed!
I'm guessing we'll never hear from Wayne Palmer again too. So he's in the Keeler & Logan camp.

Good luck with the interview :)

I am glad that the Jack Sack has returned. I bought one off the Fox fanclub website, and its possibly the best bag I've ever had. :notworthy

Yeah it's about time Jack went renegade again.
I was watching it and thinking "hey President Palmer made a remarkable recovery" and then ... bam! Back to vegetable president.
Was pleased to see the writers remembered they'd bumped Curtis off earlier and threw a line out to recall that fact.

 Seriously. What do you keep in it?

Flask, batteries, paperwork, camera when I need it, etc
Its basically just a courier bag, but the one off the fanclub has a solid brass CTU seal pinned onto the front. Its very very hardwearing and has a bonkers among of pockets and storage space.

If you're wearing it and a hoodie do you find you can sneak onto planes etc without anyone batting an eyelid?

Hmmm, I might give that a go.
Keep an eye on the national news next week ;)
as sure as night turns to day, Jack turns rogue.
Surely they should have a task force follow Jack constantly just for this occurance.

Utterly predictable episode, with everything signposted from the off. Good music at the end though ;)
Chloe had the best lines, once again. Can't decide if it was her "Damn it!" or the fact that Jack will be causing "an international situation, BIG TIME!" which made me laugh most. Morris was pretty funny with Chloe's strop too: "Can you give me an estimate?"
Not too much happening on the board...except of course for a certain new square:

The really exciting news is, of course, the return of the man-bag. Regular Bingo players will realise the implications of this, as we finally get our first line!

Here's hoping next week mentions Jack going off the grid, and maybe even needing more time (although, in fairness, it was a close call this week).
Jack Bauer Kill Count (so far): 24
I'd also hope for more action than people using their mobile phones with a worried look.
Two lines surely, he's gone off the grid as well.
The Mole square should be marked as well.
Dammit! ... Can we get two decent episodes in-a-row for once? ... After last week's storming episode, we're back to dull, political, predictable yawn-inducing averageness. Only Chloe's strop with Morris was entertaining.... and what about the selfishness of Audrey. She overhears that she's be traded for something that'll probably cause WWIII & when given the chance to speak to Jack ... instead of her screaming out "Dont do it!" ... she whimpers that she's ok. :|

I thought the quotes indicated someone had to "say" he went off the grid. You tell me - you put the board together :p

The Mole square should be marked as well.
Why? There was never a mole this season (hence the big question mark in the episode when Nadia was suspected, then cleared a week later).
I thought the quotes indicated someone had to "say" he went off the grid. You tell me - you put the board together :p
You've done such a good job I'll leave it in your capable hands.
I can't believe we've managed to fill so much even with literal quotes. 24 scriptwriters short of ideas, no never.
I thought the quotes indicated someone had to "say" he went off the grid. You tell me - you put the board together :p
Ah but if we're getting even more :dork: then you'll notice that it is only single quotes.
thought this ep was just completely bland.
Next Weeks Trailer - we may have a few more Bingo Slots to fill! :)
As usual don't click play if you don't want any spoilers.
ps. I love 24! Wish it was on every day! Intense to the max.

Anyone else think Tom Lennox is gonna get off'd by the new Pres?
The situation hasn't changed, Tom can still finish the VP's career at the drop of a hat.

Got a link? :)
Charles Logan???????????????
Why no mention AGAIN. Very odd. 2 Presidents (one ex of course) in comas in the same day?
Good sub-plot though. Will we see the end of Jack?
Got a link? :)
Must be this one.

Yeah they kind of did the "chase the tape recording" thing for half of the last series though.

So now the nukes are safe (albeit guarded by just two marines), noone seems interested in finding Philip Bauer...
just glad Wayne's out of the picture (hopefully for good)
the VP is great (but not as nasty as Cy Tulliver in Deadwood)

Are they *ever* going to properly explain Jack's family's involvement with the plot of last season?
sparkyrob
18-04-2007, 12:38
Yes, the plot was as follows:
1.) Random Middle-Eastern country = bad.
2.) Insane men in positions of power tried to get bombs/nukes blown up somewhere.
3.) They were "Patriots" so this was ok.
4.) They all died/got locked up.
Fin.

Seriously? Is that it? Thats the big secret that Jack's dad was going on about? His whole "i couldn't let them find out but i was doing it for this country" ********? Thats the reason he framed his son for killing David Palmer to bring Jack out of hiding etc etc etc
Gotta be something more to it surely

Well you'd hope, wouldn't you. But this is 24, not Lost - character arcs get dropped quicker than a drug charge against a celebrity.
Next weeks trailer- OMG! :D

Are you the new Dan??????????????
Didnt mention- one bit of this episode I loved was the emotionless look on Daniels face as Palmer went down. Brilliant.
Just a note about the bauer bags, the 24 un branded version is the correct one if you want the same as he uses in season 5. I went for that one last year and has worked great to carry all my Uni stuff in :notworthy
This was the first episode that has really annoyed me...
ffs let the bitch die...
Endanger the whole of world peace for someone who got caught snooping around Beijing...
Wayne's stutter rap was top draw though...hopefully that's the last we see of 'dead pres'...
Morris gets the common sense award for the day...

Morris seems the most rounded and sensible character in the whole show to be honest. Mind you, he's British.

I kept expecting it to cut to Dennis Norden.

Yeah it's about time Jack went renegade again.About time?
18 hours out of a Chinese prison and he's re-offending already... :dork:
Ugh! But why, Jack? Why? Audrey is a skanky harpy... :gag:
Larry Sanders' ex or even his brother's missus are far better..
