I've been wondering about the same. If they are identical I'll probably go for R2 (don't like the R4 text printet on the front) but it all comes down to DTS and if there are any cuts.
I bought the R1 when it came out but are not happy with the picture quality. There seems to be some sort of "distortions" in the picture and I don't know how to describe it. Any one else noticed this? It's not always there but it's very annoying. I've never seen this on other DVDs, but didn't bother to go back to the store to complain. I know I should have, but it's too late now...
yep - have to agree - I noticed it as well...so have several of my mates that have the disc as well. Sometimes the picture seems pin sharp and other times it seems soft.
I noticed the R2 rental version has a DTS soundtrack. So i think i'll go with R2 on this one. I'm not aware of any cuts and hopefully the picture will be a little better.
