Panda Bear - Person Pitch

I know Barney has been listening to this but I've only just had a listen after reading some positive reviews lately, and of course loving the Animal Collective's output.

How to describe it? Well, it kinda sounds like the record Brian Wilson would have made during his sandpit-years...if his sandpit was actually in a wind-tunnel and he recorded himself spazzing-out in it.

Melodies to die for; more hooks than a Joy Division lookalikes convention (:| ) and loads of weird noises (I swear one of the tracks sounds like Mr Bear recorded himself gardening on his allotment or something)

Top stuff. Low on beards - high on quality....throws my curve right off this one.

This is, as you might expect, pure quality. Some of the soundscapes he creates in this record are quite magnificent.

Lou's tip - buy this record - buy some decent headphones - listen in the dark.

agree that this is a quality album. love the animal collective but never checked out any of panda bear's solo stuff before this. really really lovely

Received my official CD today, and was amazed by this guys work-space. The liner features shots of what this guy used to create this masterpiece, and basically it looks like my own work arena, but messier.

Amazing what one man and a Mac can produce.
