Friends R4

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Friends DVD's from DVDcrave (region 4) are compatible with a region 2 only player?

My girlfriend has bought a load of the R4 discs and they all play fine when the player is set to R2. Some of them discs even say R2 on them rather than R4
