ONE THREAD FOR ALL DIVISIONS THIS SEASON. FOUR SEPERATE THREADS IS A PAIN IN THE ARSE TO MANAGE.
Rules
1. Matches are to be played on a home and away basis. I suggest these are played in the same session one after the other to keep the league moving at a decent pace.
2. The setting for the matches are :-
Matchtime – 10 mins
Injuries – Yes
Max subs – 3
Extra Time – No
PK – No
Player Condition – Random
Weather - Fine
Any other setting are at the discretion of the host.
3. The bottom 3 teams in the division will be relegated. The Top 3 promoted.
4. If a player drops out of the league, his results will be removed from the records.
5. Disconnections - If the match disconnects:-
0 - 15 mins - restart with the scores reset
15 - 45 mins - restart with the scores of the 2 games combined.
45- 70 mins - the 2nd half host restarts, with the game ending at half time. The scores of the 2 games are combined.
70 - 90 mins -The 2nd half hosts restarts a 5 minute game which will end at half time. The scores of the 2 games are added together.
6. Results should be posted in the thread as soon as possible after playing the matches. Post offical results in BOLD. They should also be submitted at www.dvdfpes.co.uk , where you should all be registered!
7. Any player who doesn't play within the published deadlines will be removed and banned from the following season. If a player gets removed in a second season, they will receive a lifetime ban.
8. Lag – If you experience lag in the first half of the match, you must disconnect within the first 10 minutes of playing time. Any goals scored in these 10 mins will not count, when the match is restarted.
If the lag appears when the half time connection switch is made, the client must disconnect within 10 minutes. The 2nd half host will then re-start the match with the game ending at half time. The score of the 2 games will be added together.
9. Matches should be arranged either in the season thread or by using the messenger system on the 360.
Deadlines
Kickoff - 5th April 2007
10 games - 22nd April 2007
15 games - 29th April 2007
Season Ends - 6th May 2007
Miss 1 deadline - you'll get a warning, miss 2 & you'll get a season ban.
When a banned player is let back into the league, they will start in the bottom division!

Anything is possible if you know the secrets that's what's infuriating. There's no difference between the teams you either have this insider knowledge or you don't. If you do you can beat any team if you're playing someone who only knows what's in the manual. :brickwall

First half of the first game you absolutely hammered me. I made a few changes at halftime, and I was a bit better in the second half, although you definitely deserved to win the game. I thought the second game was pretty even, and a draw would have been fair. Unfortunately a corner in the 93rd minute saw you score the winner. This game is very frustrating:nuts:

Yet another own goal through a calamitous keeper defender mix up, South Korea responded immediately, but it wasn't enough, as a cracking goal from hornsteve put paid to any kind of result for them.
The rematch saw a hard fought midfield battle, neither side wanting to take the game by the scruff of the neck in the first half, but a headed goal and a side foot to the keepers right saw Korea leave this field victorious. Honours even, 3 points each, a good game!

Great games mate and was shocked to see Duff not ebven in the starting line up and then score 5 goals in two games.

If you withdraw after playing a few matches in a season, you get a ban for the following season, then you start at the bottom when you're allowed back in.
As far as most people are concerned that's the biggest crime you can commit whilst in the league (apart from not wearing a headset ;) )

I pretty much 100% agree with the above. Couldn't believe I didn't take 3 points in the first game (even with your rather robust tackling;) ). Second game the referee gave you everything for the first half (couple of definite penalities turned down) and then me everything in the second.
In the end I think it was just your superior finishing that made the difference. Good luck for the rest:thumbs:

Absolutely sure. You won the replay 1-0, but it was 0-0 at half time, and a continuation of the first game, when it crashed just after half time, with me 2-0 up. The first goal was a deflected shot that dribbled into the corner with your keeper going the other way, and the second was 2 minutes after that, in stoppage time, when I rounded the keeper.
The first half of the first game was 1-0. I equalised and then it crashed. Played again and it finished 1-0 to me. I scored after fifty-five minutes.
Often though when it crashes mid-match both players are playing completely different games. I've had two matches in the league happen like this, where my opponent and i had completely different scores and the ball was at different end of the pitches when it's crashed.
I think that must be the case here. Phayzed didn't put up much of a fight for my 'equaliser'. His player ran in totally the different direction allowing me an easy goal. I thought we'd replayed the whole of the first game because we played ninety-mins? Might have to replay this one as we watching totally different games I think.

Mind you i'm in the same division and think if neither can agree you should both be given losses. :D
I'm confused now.... I just figured we'd scrubbed that first game and started over hence why we played a full 90 mins? Whatever Stevie's decision is I'll go with that. Don't want to upset anyone over it.

Thanks for the games. 2 points from those fixtures is harsh on Ivory Coast but Super Eagles striker Julius Aghahowa was on scintilating form and scored two marvellous goals to draw both matches level. In the first game i really felt as if i was playing a division above my abilities and if wasn't for your poor finishing i would have been dead and buried in the first half. I made a few adjustments in the second half and that tightened things up a bit and a little more in the second match to the extent that we started to play as if we thought we could actually take the game to you and go for the win once we got the equaliser.
I guess you'll probably look at these fixtures as points dropped were as i'll be reasonably satisfied. In the second match i thought that was more deserved. I expect come the end of the season you'll be in with a shout for promotion and i'll just be happy to stay in the league.... well until the inevitable seasonal division-shuffle that is.:)

That's what I thought - I didn't try to roulette the keeper when I was 1-on-1 at 1-0 down in the second half because I was serious... Can you change the score on dvdfpes then, or if we both click the red X, can we re-enter the score?

You battered me for the first half of the first game, and scored a very nice overhead kick to take an early lead. i managed to pull it back to 3-1 in the 2nd half, but you deserved the win overall. Second game was a bit tighter I though, although I was happy with a point. Looks like a tough season for me:(

It's a funny old game ;) . First game was very close, and I only managed to salvage a point in injury time. Up until then I had really struggled to break you down. Second game was completely different, I think helped by an early goal for me. I don't usually go for too many crosses, but it seemed to be working so I kept at it;) I could certainly tell you were frustrated by some of your tackling towards the end (i think you injured 3 of my players). Well played and unlucky:)
EDIT: John has "accidently" put a 4-0 win in to himself. StevieP could you reverse the score please:thumbs:

I must say I was stunned by that magnificent Drogba overhead kick into the far corner... mainly because I was trying to head it :lol:
Ivory Cost are a bit of a nightmare defensively but my keeper was on a red arrow in the first game so he actually made one good save :clap:
The second game I was a bit disappointed not to score a second but if you can only hit the target twice in seven attempts that's what happens I suppose. A draw was probably fair enough :thumbs: Although Dunne staying on the pitch for 90 minutes wasn't ;)

Just filled out the registration form as a newbie. Am pretty poor but getting better on ranked matches. Started poorly with over 50 defeats but now have had a 6 match unbeaten run so have 13 wins under my belt now.
Missed the first deadline but available if anyone has dropped out etc. or will wait til next time round. ;)

Both good games and very evenly balanced affairs I thought. Took the lead in the first game through a penalty. MrSpoons equalised but I got myself back in front almost straight away. I've had that two games running in ranked matches and its bloody annoying. Even more so when one of the players got himself sent off for it as well. Needs sorting out for the next version.

Good games last night guys. Couldn't do a thing right in front of goal against Nabby, even missed an open goal. Then first game against daddy, the goals just flowed (although i was aided by some poor defending at times :thumbs: ), 2nd match, normal service in front of goal was resumed.

Yep, miss of the season for steviep already, I think!!! Not that I can talk as I had a few of them last season!!! And missed a pen against no flipping last night in the 89th minute that would have won me the game :(

Cheers for the games guys, I was absolutely knackered by the end of it! The games with D3mon were very close and I just managed to snatch it with a goal and my defence stood firm both games.
Games with Pete were tense as always. The first game Pete had loads of chances but Drogba could not finish from 6 yards, my shooting boots were not on. The second game, Turkey ran riot and some cool finishing made a not so easy game look easy.
Games with CelticChris was even closer. You should have scored a load more than 1, I kept plugging away but your keeper was a git and kept saving my shots when normal keepers would fail! :nuts: The second game I managed to pass a bit better and scored a scrappy first goal. I then broke away and managed to score another to make it more comfortable until the stupid AI decided to hack you down in the area for a penalty. Luckily there was only a couple of minutes to go and I held on to the ball for the win.
Thanks for the games guys, that's another 4 wins, a draw and my first loss which isn't too bad for Turkey, not too bad at all! :D

We both missed some really straight forward opportunities in the first game and a draw was probably a fair reflection of the match, though 2-2 maybe more so. Again in the second there wasn't much between both sides performances, save for the key fact that Nigeria tried to walk the ball in & Shevchenko carved open two clear chances with some defense-splitting passes that led to both goals.
Only 3 points from 4 games for me so far but then last season i lost both our matches 1-0 & 5-0, so maybe this is still progress after all! Thanks for the games.:thumbs:

Scoreline of the first game isn't that good a reflection to be honest. Needed half time to change things a little bit and finally managed to dictate the way I wanted to play. Well, the first one looked like it was heading towards a dull goalless draw as neither of us seemed to like playing with our respective teams (South Korea & Serbia). Finally you made the breakthrough from a corner and then added a second in injury time.
A quick change of my formation though and the second was completely different. Serbia were unrecognisable from the team I had in the first game and quick, incisive passing & clinical finishing was enough to give me an emphatic (and deserved) win.

Well, the first one looked like it was heading towards a dull goalless draw as neither of us seemed to like playing with our respective teams (South Korea & Serbia). Finally you made the breakthrough from a corner and then added a second in injury time.
A quick change of my formation though and the second was completely different. Serbia were unrecognisable from the team I had in the first game and quick, incisive passing & clinical finishing was enough to give me an emphatic (and deserved) win.

Wouldn't quite say the change was that dramatic. 3 messy goals from 3 shots then an own goal plus your constant cynical fouling really did leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Thanks for the games Scott. First game was close, and whilst I probably should have scored a couple more (couple of penalties turned down), in the end I was lucky to come away with a draw. Second game was a bit more resiliant from Ireland, and once I got an early lead, it was a case of hanging on, including a couple of last ditch "tackles";) Sorry mate. Well played
Edit.. Also, just remembered the comedy that was my winning goal in the second game. It bounced off about 5 people before falling to my striker. Very lucky!!

Another couple of sub par performances. Was on for the draw in the second but for another cynical foul when I was thorough on goal:mad: Sometimes I hate this game.

What am I supposed to do, I have a man standing free who will score or I can shoot into a crowd of your players and hope it goes in, get a grip. Plus I could hardly try any more after that as I couldn't get near your goal as any time I crossed the halfway line you hacked me down.
What do you post as the score if a match is abandoned due to sendings off...
I was leading 5-0 when this happened, but the final score displayed was a 3-0!

1st game was a joke of a referee, coupled with some robust challenges from dunkrag...and an abandonment after I was 5-0 up!
2nd game was more even.

Not really fair that though is it? As leemel says, what if those 2 lost goals cost him promotion? Its not his fault the opposing player has had all those red cards :shrug:

Part of the fun of it - for every game where I've lost goals due to abandonments, I've scored more where people haven't managed to get that last player sent off :)
I'll be on from 8:30ish Prem boys, bout time I got this party started.

Perhaps a note in the rules for games abandoned...its easier to have a 3-0 than a 6 or 7-0 defeat.
How about next season, any games abandoned automatically go as 5-0 or 3 point deduction from that player.
Perhaps clarification would be the key here, as I know it was 5-0 at the time of abandonment, and you cover all the possiblities for lag and disconnects...surely this is yet another way to avoid a heavier defeat.
And thanks John, glad I'm not the only one thinking that its a bit off that I lose two goals through no fault of my own.

Good games and good chat. First game I just couldn't get past that last man and failed the pull the trigger fast enough on more than one occasion. Second game was tighter and a much improved performance from Leemel's South Korea. Managed to grab the second with about 10 minutes left on the clock, but it certainly raised my heart rate. Could easily have been another draw.
Also, I had a really intense deja vu in the second game! It's such a weird feeling. I dreamed the conversation and the images over a week ago. Very strange.

First game was a complete nightmare for me. Scott scored first when he crossed into the box for his player to be completly unmarked who shot was parried into the net. Second goal was ****** up. Two of my defenders go to close down the ball only for it to get deflected towards goal, the keeper is miles off his line for some reason and the ball slowly goes into the net. :oh-hum: Third goal was a ghey cutback.
Second game no dogy AI and with my strikers on red I got my first win of the season.

Pro Evo awards a 3-0 win when the match is abandoned. If its good enough for Seabass, its good enough for me.
If the score was 1-0 when the match was abandoned would you still be after a rule change now?
It's swings & roundabouts. Very few matches are abandoned, especially now that Spenny & Ono aren't in the league, so i can't see any point in changing the rules.

Yeah well played, a better description for my third goal would be the ball dropped from a challenge to my guy on the line and all I could do was cut it back or I wouldn't have scored. I need all the goals I can with this lots defence as shown in the 2nd game.

Gutted to have lost the 1st as I was in control and just couldn't get the 2nd. Then a quickfire double which I really should have stopped put smiller ahead and that was game over. 2nd game I managed to get a quick 2 goal lead and should have added another but hit the post with an open goal. Once smiller pulled one back he was all over my goal, particularly with corners and I managed to hold on.

Well a tale of two games. First game was pretty straightforward. A tight first half was followed by two deserved goals by Smiller just after halftime. I noticed on the stats afterwards there wasn't a single foul in the entire game, which showed the game was played in good spirits:) The second game Smiller decided to make amends by getting both his strikers sent off for reckless tackles from behind in the first half ;) This left the game wide open, and despite conceding an equaliser later on, I just managed to nick a winner at the end. Well played mate:thumbs:

Both very close games. To be honest I thought Owls was well worth a point in both games. In both games I took the lead but they were tap ins really. My finishing was well off this evening. Cheers for the games and unlucky mate.

First game we played Tom got a man sent off and soon after Forlan scored from an acute angle but then the game crashed. In the replay Tom scored first with a tap in from a rebound but Zalayeta put me back in front. A Forlan goal and another from Zalayeta secured the win for me.
Second game was a bit dull either of us not really creating much but got the winner mid way though the second half when Recoba found Ruben Oliveira who slotted past the keeper. Tom nearly scored when a cross found Morrison who headed over the bar.
