Is anyone going to get the box set of all 3 films or any of the films on their own?

I can't decide whether to get the box set or just parts I and II.

I think I will, I have fond memories of the first two from my school years. Not so sure about the third one though, I know I could buy the first two on there own, but I’m a sucker for box sets.

I'm still trying to make that decision as well....

Think I'll just go for the boxset though, because no doubt If I go the other route, I will just buy 1, watch it, decide I need 2, watch that, and then think "bugger, I may as well get the third to complete them", and spend over what I would have done just getting the bloody box to start with! :)

Yeah, I'll be getting the boxset....

Mainly for the French guy - whose name escapes me - and his hilarious pronounciation of Axel.

"Axeel" :D :D

I too will be getting the boxset, Surge (excuse the spelling) is great in the 1st one.......expresso with a bit of lemon twist + Tell Ms Summers that Mr Ahwell etc Foley is here to see her!
Is Play the cheapest option at present?

I'm only going for the first two. Don't really like the third at all.
The first is one of my all time favourites, can't wait to finally get it.:D

I'll probably just go for the first one, didn't like the 2nd one much, and nor the 3rd one enough to buy it.

I`ll be buying BHC1 & 2, but 3 is total dross.

I've ordered the Complete Line Up from Play and can't wait for them. I haven't seen the first one for years.

The 3rd one is a pathetic travesty of a film, right up there with the worst sequels of all time.

Come on robbie that's a bit harsh!.

It probably doesn't belong in the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy (because the tone is too comical) but that's typical of all Landis' work. I still think it's a perfectly watchable film on its own terms though (the various shootouts and theme park rescue are enjoyable). Someone watching the third one first wouldn't understand all of this OTT criticism.

As you say it IS a bad sequel though, but only because it disregards the values and established landscape of the previous ones (much like Mummy Returns, Alien 3 and M:I 2 all did). It's nevertheless preferable to most of Murphy's other recent movies IMO (Metro and Holy Man are genuinely dire).

Only another £3 at Play

I think I'm gonna buy it, as I only ever saw them on BBC1 with all the swearing cut and in 4:3 :(
