Have been watching (and enjoying) the French film Taxi. Its a friends R2 copy. The only problem is its not in anamorphic and I cant zoom the picture to fill the screen as this cuts off half the subtitles! So I am having to watch the picture on 4:3 mode which of course means the picture has borders top, bottom and sides!!
So, if anyone knows of a better release than R2, please let me know as I personally like the film enough to think about adding it to my collection :)

I'm not aware of any 16x9 print of the film but I bought the Region 3 from dddhouse which is 2.35:1 lbx but can be zoomed keeping the subs visible. And of course it only cost about £8 ;)
Edit: R3 also has 5.1 sound which the R2 doesn't?

Thanks jroadley. Whats the transfer like on R3? R2 is pretty good IMO.
If its good it may be the one to go for. By the way, any idea what the sequel is like?

The sequel is more of the same. Comedy , driving, etc. Its not high art (either of them), but its great fun. They are also in production to make Taxi 3.

I was quite suprised on how good the transfer was for a R3 disc, haven't seen the sequel though.
