Trade/2nd hand prices for limited edition or collectors editions games ?

Is there much difference ?

I know Game offer £25 notes for Lost planet, but are the collectors editions worth any more ?

Same applies for the 2nd hand market ?

Would you get more because its "limited" even though you can still pick them up in stores or is it just a sales pitch ?
