John Woo - TBH he has had a few chances. Face off was a good film, but the mess he made with MI2 (partly mr C's fault) suggests that he is just a chases and fights director.

The name of the main bad guy in Hard Boiled was Johnny Wong. Played by the great HK character actor Anthony Wong.
Anyone else who "can't quite think of that character's name" click here (http://www.imdb.com) & here (http://www.hkmdb.com).

It doesn't really matter I guess, but i personally voted for Best Actor, Director, Martial Artist etc. Like you, if I was voting for favourite, i'd have gone for Samo Hung over Yuen Biao.

Looks like Colin Chou as a good chance at breeaking into the American market, as it's him who's got the role in The Matrix that Jet Li passed on.

15-01-2002, 08:16
Yes, it is... but thinking about it, my respect for Bruce's accomplishments far outweighs my critical response to his average-to-okay films. He had massive charisma, sure, and as a real fighter was (probably) unbelievable... but his films just weren't that great.

I love Enter the Dragon mainly because of the atmosphere in it, as it about a tournament which involves honour and betrayal.
