wow, thats does look interesting. But I can't find any details on it apart from http://www.emovie.ne.jp/movie/shenmue/ but its in japanese and I can't get the trailer to play (i have realplayer).

Same ere but theres no way I'm shelling out that much, and if only I can get the trailer to play :brickwall Hopefully, news might start filtering through the US sites. I wonder if its available in hk?

The shenmue movie is in English and its basically a 90 minute account of what happened in the first game. (Slightly enhances the game graphics) I think its oout on dvd in Japan but from what I've read it's very expensive (about $60 USD I read somewhere), I'm tempted though, could be a collectors item someday.

its 36.88USD from cdjapan (released 2001/12/21, price not inc post) but still too much for me... is it really the story from the first game? so theres not a proper ending? I'm interested cos I completed the first game and sold my DC before the 2nd came out but I wanna know the whole story. cheers.

I use yesasia to check cd releases but have you seen their international shipping charges. US$ 18.00 for 1-5 units :eek:

I would go with that but I'd have to know more about the movie first. is it really based only on the first game? if it is, theres not that much point if you've already completed it and know the story. If its the entire story though... ;)

im pretty certain that this 'movie' is just all the cutscenes from the first game and a few from the second game. It is nothing really new (though i could be totally wrong but im near enough certain that this was the case) and i certainly wouldn't spend a lot of money on it (unless of course you're a collector)

I may be able to get a copy of this from a friend on vcd so i should be able to tell you soon what it's like (thats if he's actually got it he's a well known 'bragger' and if he doesn't he's going to get a slap! :) )

it only covers the first episode. yu suziki wanted to do a massive epic and originaly planned about 12 chapters (i think). but then the dreamcast went and died so he's continuing the saga on xbox. wether or not he still wants to do as many chapters , i dont know. the people in the games forum will probably know more about it, if you're intrested. actually playing the game was much like watching a movie, only it cost £40 to see it:rolleyes:

Came by speedpost and took only 4 days from ordering. From my last experience (last week), they seem custom friendly (don't quote me), although they don't mark down the price on the slip (or mark down the value at all, although customs could open up the package to check).
