Don't know if this is the right forum, but having a problem with my disc.

First off it looked like it wouldn't load at all, so mailed EzyDVD about returning it. :(

Tried it quickly when I got in tonight and it worked first time. Came back to play it once I'd been out to get pizza and it must have taken 10-15 attempts to load the disc

My player is a basic Wharfdale 750, without the upgrade, so I tried it a couple of times in Mum's 750s and it just brings up a NO DISC message :brickwall

Is my disc faulty ?

In case it helps any, I've no problems playing this disk on my Tosh 2109 and yet I've had a few problems with other disks from Oz with my player.

I too have a Tosh 2109 and can honestly say I have never had any issues with R4 discs including True Lies.

Why not try the disc on another make of DVD player, hopefully its just a bad disc which can easily be replaced.

Although it may be a compatibility issue, I'd advise you inspect the underside of the disc first. I bought True Lies from EZY and there was a peculiar mark on the playing side (a sort of rainbow splodge) and the DVD refused to load.

I e-mailed EZY about this and they told me to send the DVD back on its own (i.e keep the cover) and they posted a replacement. The new copy plays fine on my machine (a Toshiba 200E) and the disc they sent before was obviously faulty.

The Wharfie 750 is known for its awkwardness though, so (like jroadley suggests) I'd try the disc on a different branded player before jumping to conclusions.

I have the R4 True Lies from DVDCrave and an original Wharfedale750 and it's playing as we speak and plays fine. No marks on the underside of my disc.

Hope this helps.
