I got this for Christmas, had already watched it to death and seen all the extras elsewhere - so I've only just put it on.
The picture is amazing! 62 years old and you could still eat your dinner off of it! Beautifully restored, and I can't think of colour looking more fabulous in any film than it does here!
Right up there in my Top 5 DVDs already!
If you've got it - check out Buddy Ebsen's rendition of If I Only Had a Heart - it's been available on the 2 CD soundtrack for a while but it gets an airing on here (curiously not the superior vocal take from the CD), matched with some stills of Ebsen. He had to pull out of the film after aluminium poisoning from his tin man costume! He delivers the track beautifully, much better than Jack Haley who, admittedly, made a better looking tin man.
