As the title says, I havent been inspired to buy anything since FATF.

Apart from Futurama there just isnt anything coming out that makes me wanna part with my cash.

Am I out of touch or is this the case, if not then c'mon tell me what to spend my cash on.

Well everyone has different tastes, but there's *always* stuff out I want to buy! :D
Just recently released I have bought:

Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead
Beast Cops (HKL)
Mad Max
American Pie 2

& next week there's Memento (R2) and the 3 disc Cape Fear box set (also R2)

There seems to be something every month but there are no blockbusters this month. But you still have Jeepers Creepers, American Pie 2, etc. Nothing stunning but certainly decent.

Play.com have memento for £13.99. Certainly worth a look. You're right though. There ain't much new decent stuff out at the moment.

I know Memento is meant to be very good, but I had it spoiled by some idiot on here giving the ending away a few months ago.

Count yourself lucky - when I saw it the idiot projectionist got the reels in the wrong order, so it started with the ending! Talk about ruining all the surprises!

As you can tell, things aren't looking too busy for me!

Well in my opinion its YOU ;). Just ordered 3 "must have" titles in the last couple of weeks;

Moulin Rouge R4 2 discs
In the mood for love R2 2 discs
Almost Famous Bootleg Edition 3 discs

Considering Beast Cop HKL, Dogma SE 2 disc, Jay & Silent Bob pre-order, Shiri SE 3 disc and a host of others that too be honest I cant afford to even think about buying at the moment :D

Should have known!

This is a disk that would have been a certain purchase for me, but I can't keep ignoring all those terrible reviews. If it's as bad as they say they should give an Oscar to the editor of the trailer since that makes the movie look magnificent. That space ship crashing!

The only one I'm waiting for is:
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension

How can you all say there's nothing to buy when Rock Star is out in a couple of weeks !!!:D

No, seriously, for me it's good old Buffy S1 and Groundhog Day, and I'm deliberating about Mrs.Soffel as CDNow have just put the price up.

If your taste runs to the latest blockbusters and little else then there’ll be times you struggle to find anything worth buying. However if you have an open mind and an interest in cinema and TV regardless of genre or age then it’s a question of how to limit what you buy from the vast amount already released and available to pre-order.

Too many good things to choose from at all times rather than too little.

Two must-buys this week. "MASH Five Star Edition" and John Frankenheimer's brilliant "Seconds" - if you've never seen this, then you should watch it asap. If you think that they only invented depressing movies recently, check out this one and then try to forget it. You won't be able to.

... how about:

Les enfants du Paradis Criterion - coming soon at last!
Wild strawberries - ditto

... not to mention some of the aforementioned like Atlantis, Hitchhiker's Guide etc.

Count yourself lucky - when I saw it the idiot projectionist got the reels in the wrong order, so it started with the ending! Talk about ruining all the surprises!

Interesting. I though I'd be the only person with 'In the Flesh live' on their wishlist...

I agree that it's a slack time at the moment foir new releases - but considering the crop of goodies in the HMV/MVC etc. sales, I haven't been short of stuff to buy. And the next few months look expensive too: Final Fantasy and Star Trek TMP R2 (for those without the R1 discs!), Dirty Harry SE (maybe the boxset), Woody Allen titles, RoboCop trilogy, etc. etc.)
