View Full Version : Disc Emporium - Emails
Did anyone try to buy those Pre-order DVDs from Disc Emporium just before (or maybe right after) christmas - they were priced as £0.00.
If so you probably got an email telling you that they were a price mistake (fair enough), but have a look at who they sent it to, there is a large list of names (if it's like mine) and email addresses.
Surely this isn't legal, you're not supposed to give out other people's information.
What do you think?

Well, I pre-ordered those DVDs - I have still to get ANY e-mail from Disc Emporium!
Apart from the order confirmation one, that is! :D

Bumping this to the top.
I received an Indiana Jones DVD Boxset from Disc Emporium this morning. Only problem is I never ordered it and they have debited my credit card £54.99.
On contacting them they insisted I had ordered it. When I asked them to provide further evidence of this I got this reply :-
''Karl - I have a hard copy order placed Sept 2000. We do not send out emails since once we post up that something is shipping, it arrives within 48 hours - we are typically phone based.''
It seems that for some reason they have used my details from the order that I had placed at that time, posted in the Bargain forum, which was a 'pricing error' and was cancelled.
To their credit they have be quick to answer my e-mails, and on my insistence have supplied a Freepost returns address.
Just thought I would mention this in case anyone else receives any unexpected discs. The discs arrived without any sender address or anything else to indicate where they came from.
