Yeah, reading the notes on Amazon, it seems the Series 2 disks in this set are the cut/shortened versions of the episodes that were repeated on TV in 1986. (Shortened to include additional ad breaks :oh-hum: )
The set that WH Smiths were selling have the original versions of the series two episodes - one example being when Oz rises from the wardrobe and bares his teeth like dracula.

I think that would be impossible, is this bloke reviewing the old vhs tapes? When the dvds were mastered series 2 was edited to remove the end of part one/part two credits, thats all. They could not find the original source tapes apparently. All you have is some fade in/outs on the dvds, it literally misses a second here and there. I cant see why they would master yet another version for this release. The VHS version of series two was chopped, among some music scenes you miss oz doing the vamp teeth and loads more, but this is viewable on the dvd, before it fades out.
Oz was a Sunderland fan, loved that show...
er..not really. Altho it is a bizarre plotline.
Regarding the edits, read the review of the single box set of series 2, one reviewer has it spot on.
Cheers to the OP. Too good to resist at this price.
i paid over £50 fot this last year, but it was with out doubt the buy of the year for me, a real steal at £20!!!!

Totally agree, the first series is one of my all time favourites, series 2 was good stuff though the stuff in Spain lost some of it's edge (plus the sad death of 'Wayne' :( )
One copy ordered.
How many series were there in total ?
Also how much is postage as amazon don't have it it seems to be from the marketplace ?

There were 4 series in total...
Series 1 - Germany (http://www.aufpet.com/series1.htm)
Series 2 - UK/Spain (http://www.aufpet.com/series2.htm)
Series 3 - USA (http://www.aufpet.com/awp3/)
Series 4 - Cuba (http://www.aufpet.com/awp4/)
Series one and two are the best - but as good as 3 and 4 were, they just weren't the same - the characters had changed too much, due to the way the actors had changed - Oz/Jimmy nail in particular.
