Hi all,

Anyone know of a reputable supplier for a stepdown converter for a US gamecube ?

Also, what exactly do I need in terms of voltage/power specifications ?

Regards,

PCW sell stepdown convertors ~£20, no idea what the spec is though.

Ah, I didn't know PCW did them up. I was thinking more along the lines of CEX (and a few others have been posted ... but with no 'search' facility ... !!!)

When I say spec, I mean I'm looking for something that takes a '110V input and converts it to a UK voltage', right ??

No you want one that takes a 230/240v input and steps it down to output 110v. :p

The PCW one does that, but I've no idea on the amperage, or what's needed for the GC

GC needs 45W i think

CEX one is rated at 100W == more than enough :)

I think it's even lower than that - 39w or something. So with a 100w step you're laughing :)

Maplin do one, which I used with my dreamcase, get a high wattage one. I tried a low wattage one and my dreamcast did'nt powerup.

Its 100W and £15 although postage is extra, but not sure how much.

Very good service every time i've used them.
