Tescos have their new-ish everything for a pound section
except their 3 pack DVD-R, DVD+R, and 5 pack CD-Rs are reduced from £1 to 10p :)
quality won't be great - but 30 DVD-Rs for 1 pound is OK
DVD+Rs are AML 002
DVD-Rs are UME01
neither are classed as decent media - but apparently can be OK - for temporary storage they'll be fine - for 30 for a quid its not too bad !

This was announced on MSE last night so i think most stores were wiped clean of them by 9am! You might get lucky if they've more stock to put out but its all the £1 per item end of aisle boxed stuff thats 10p now so theres been a bit of a feeding frenzy all day! :)

there were literally hundreds in my local store !
Hmmmm, odd.
I was in my Tesco Express last night and I saw DVD Blanks on special on the end of the isle, but they were not reduced that much.
They had a price tag on the isle saying they were reduced from about £8ish to £5ish or something like that.
Then again, my Tesco has no PG Tips monkeys either :(

Tesco Trowbridge had these for £1 and then they made them BOGOF last week, at that point they were wiped out of them, they still have loads of the other £1 range items for 10p though but no CD's or DVD's.

In the Trowbridge store are these bits and bobs on the end of each isle as usual or any other certain place in the store?

They are parallel with the entrance about half way down (some near the bike accessories under the escalator & some more on an end aisle near the toiletries), I went a few hours ago and they still had lots of 10p items.
Couldn't find any in my local Tesco Extra (Purley Cross).
Well, I'm off to Tesco shortly, will see what's left after the swarm of locusts has been!

Just like to say thanks for this.
I must have walked by them on Thursday, and on Saturday they still had some large spindles of their own brand DVD's but with just £4 off, so nothing special.
I went back yesterday (sat) looking for the 3 disk packs for 10p rather than £1. At first they all appeared to be gone, but I did some hunting around and managed to find some the locusts has missed, so I got the remaining packs.
funnily enough, even though these are not as good a quality as some top brands, they burn fine and they scan fine for quality and more importantly they play back perfect in our VERY FUSSY Toshiba DVD player, whereas the expensive ones won't play back at all. Go figure.
