Canon A95 (5MP)
Tripod
Darkened room [no overhead lights/closed curtains]
xray backlight only by single light-box.
Flash off

Should I use the "night shot" option or make some manual settings to ISO/Aperture/shutter speed/white balance etc?

Tips would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Nope. They are large sheets.

meter on the slide and it should be fine, tripod is a must, and no flash. Think you got it pretty much nailed, its digital so just experiment.

best images I got were with ISO 50 [auto aper/shutter] and exposure correction turned right down.

Pity I don't have a dimmer switch on my light-box as it was backlit a touch too brightly; fine for CTs but too much for a plain film with lots of white on it
