Hi

I'd order more often from you, but your £3 delivery charge (per order) to Europe makes you so uncompetitive, unless I'm buying 3 or more at a time. I buy quite alot (say 50 dvds a year), but normally individually. Any chance of rethinking your postage policy ?

Finally able to plug the gaps in a few places in my collection, thanks!

Hi gozomark,

For orders outside the UK, we charge a flat rate of £3 (Europe) and £6 (ROW) respectively. This is indeed on a per order basis so you can order as many items as you like (items will be despatched as they become available so for pre-orders are not a problem). Unfortunately we cannot offer free shipping outside of the UK - we did some analysis on this last year and the results were quite staggering as to how much money was being lost per annum on the shipment of oversized items (mainly DVD boxsets) outside of the UK. This led to a change in shipping provider and a nominal increase in charge however this still does not cover the true shipment cost in the majority of cases. We shall be reviewing our shipping costs over the coming months and I shall be sure to let you know of any proposed changes to the current rate.

appreciate the quick response - why not make it say a £1 per standard dvd, and say £2-3 per boxset, which would more accurately reflect your additional costs in posting to Europe over domestically. You are the only e-tailer I know of who charge per order, rather than per dvd (most are between between free and £1)

I'll have to second Gozomark. Choices indeed seems to be an excellent retailer and on several occasions I have been sorely tempted, but that prohibitive £3 charge causes me to look for alternatives elsewhere.

Agreed, for orders containing multiple items the current policy could be a good deal, but most often I'm looking for a single item, and in these cases Choices simply isn't a competitive option. :(

Perhaps something like the DVD.co.uk P&P scheme could be a working solution?

The Inspector Morse sets at £13.99 each plus BOGOF - so only £55.96 for all eight series - looks very tempting.
