Hi
Just called Sound and Vision..........they did it for £1300.00 inc del + vat.
This works out cheaper than the above as you have to add delivery to the price at Digital Direct.
Bought my last 4 tv's off sound and vision and they have all been top notch.
Heres the link............

Just call them and ask for Steve.

So is that + vat as in 1300 would become 1527.5 or does it include vat?

I think the first line is just wrong. According to this review (http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatvreviews/panasonic-th50px60u-review.html) the resolution is 1366x768 (16:9) as you'd expect.
This is a great price for this TV. I paid more for my 43" Pioneer a few years ago. Must... resist... purchase...

Pardon my ignorance, but it's not 1080 is it? is the stand detatchable?
I was originally going to go for the Samsung 50q7hd, but the consensus seems to be tgat the Panny is better.
Also Digico appear to be doing th Panny for £1300 and also includes 3 year parts and labour warranty - anyone used them before?

Reduced further now to £1228
How much of a difference is there between 1080i & p, and is it worth waiting for 1080p tvs to drop in price ? my brother's tempted by this & just want to be sure its worth buying now.
Anyone knows how this compairs to the cheap LG and Samsung 50" Plasma's out there right now? They all seems to be about the £1300 (roughly) ish mark.

personally (my eyes only) is depends on how close you are to the set..from my viewing distance of about 4 metres, i cant really see the difference
personally if you want a big set, then buy one now, then sell, and replace when the 1080p price drops..as at this price, you wont lose a huge amount of money.

cheapest yet? - are cheap electricals anygood?
John lewis won't pricematch sound and vision if anyone is thinking of giving it a try as one of the requirements is it has to be on display in a showroom which in most cases sound and vision don't do
I paid £1500 for this 5 weeks ago with a 3 year warranty.I hung arround for ages waiting for a good price, ********** up there then????
What a set top notch, I had a phillips 507521d before (load of rubbish) excelent picture I view at about 3m and its spot on even without HD
BUY IT you wont regret it
ps no way of getting a refund on the price dif is there??
