I'm going snowboarding in Canada and need some cover......coz I've heard it can get a bit chilly. Boom! Boom!
No, seriously, any cheap but reliable companies out there?
I've used:
A few times (never had to claim mind you).
http://www.optionsinsurance.co.uk/general/default.asp
Pretty cheap, give you a discount on next policy if you don't claim etc.
www.direct-travel.co.uk
Cheap, but more importantly a decent company (which web trader ,member if general insurance standards council etc).Their insurance has won several awards.
Some of these online travel insurance companies offer policies that miss out a lot.So check what the policy covers ;)
For example the options insurance (linked above), does not even cover delayed baggage or personal money on their silver or gold policies (you have to have gold plus or above).
This is covered even on direct-travel's standard policy.
don't laugh but age concern do some off the cheapest & best insurance for all ages not just oldies just go into the nearest shop or ring them & as a charity you will be helping them out.

Try your local post office or online at http://www.postoffice.co.uk/networkbanking/main.jsp?# and they are also good for currency aswell.
