Ive recently bought an Infocus LP350 DLP projector (which is GREAT!!)......but now need to acquire a decent screen to make it complete. Any of you guys have any experience with such things, or can recommend any UK suppliers?

Ive looked at both manual and electric, and would prefer an electric one (but am aware they cost about double the price). Im looking for about a 70" width one...................looking for all the help i can get............. :) :) :) CHEERS

I have been looking at the projector route. When you say 70" width,do you mean the diagonal measurement,as used for tv's,or straight across measurement. You may want to check out the Homescreen. It can be either 16:9/4:3 and was reviewed in 'What Video & Tv'.It is on the website,in the video projector section. www.whatvideotv.com/testbench/index.html

Cheers guys....will look at these.

Napoleon- 70" was the overall horizontal width (which I think equates to about a 96" diagonal at max size).

Has anybody else bought a screen? I was wondering what difference the screen surfaces make? There are various coatings, including matt white, glass beading and varying reflective levels - but I read somewhere that a grey screen also gives good results on projectors with high Ansi levels (and the infocus is 1300 Ansi). My projector is currently being beamed onto a cream wall, but still gives good results -- be interesting to see how the contrast, colour and sharpness change when used with a proper screen ?

Thanks for yer help. :D

You'll probably be OK with a simple matte white screen using 1300 Ansi. Grey screens will improve black levels (as I understand it) but you might get a more technical response from the AV forums on homecinemachoice.com

I'm going for a Da-Lite matte white, model C which at 80"x45" (widescreen format) gives ~92" diagonal.
