just got one of these from sainsburys for £100 does anybody know a multiregion hack for it

They should be muiltregion out of the box but try this:


1. Make sure there is no DVD in the player's tray.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 2, 9, 1, 8, Enter.
3. You should then be in the hidden menu, where you change the region on the first page, or use 13 for region free.
4. You can also disable Macrovision on the second page of the menu.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I've tried this code, as well as 2917 and 2812, and nothing happens. You do just turn the player on and enter the code at the title screen right?

I copied those instructions from somewhere else.
Try it with the disk tray open.
