My old faithful CRT is now on the blink and now it does not seem possible to buy them anymore, plus, i never realized how much room a 32" took up!

So the title are my requirements, preferably would like that to include free view, but am i realistically going to get something good for that price?

My friend has one of those new 32" Samsung LCD's and i was not suitably impressed with it but that may have been because it was through SCART.

On a final note i have looked at the LCD's on the BigPockets (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.bigpockets.co.uk) website, are they any good?

Advise away if you please.....

I've got the 32" AOC from Bigpockets and am pretty happy with it. No tried any actual HD sources with it, but it does a great job with progscan dvd via component (not from an upscaling dvd player i'll add.)

There is a BIG thread in the bargain forum about it, which will answer pretty much every question you'll have about it.

i got the toshiba 32wlt66 for £530 from currys using 5% cashback from Egg Card (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jumpfinancial.php?url=http://valuecreditcard.at/thedvdforums) and a discount code posted on these forums. slightly out of your budget i realise, but it is a good brand and an excellent television. but then i'm a bit of a brand snob!

at £530 wouldn't i be better at looking at a Samsung panel?

I'm no expert- but our friend has a Samsung panel, and I find that to be very acceptable :)
