View Full Version : Dozen Red Roses in Asda £2.00
Asda are selling Bunches of 12 roses for an astounding low £2.00p
Bought one for the boss ;)
This just today, or on Valentines too?
I'm assuming until stocks run out at Longwell Green Bristol they were going pretty quick
2 quid? I'd actually feel bad spending so little on my wife!!!!!!!! That really is a crazy low price!

You could buy a dozen dozen
Picked these up and was so ashamed I put them back. They really are tiny, small shoddy littlle things that are only worth £2 and she'll know it. My better half has to put up with small shoddy little things all year, I can't give her these on Valentines Day to compound it..

Don't forget Viagra also goes on sale today
Anyway - I can't justify spending even £2 on something that'll just end up dead.
I know it comes to us all but she's looking a bit peaky lately

Popped down local Asda just now - I'd say about 90-95% of the £2 bunches were dead. Managed to find an ok bunch, but took a while.
(Noticed none of the buckets had any water in, might have had something to do with it.....)
They also had some for £3 a bunch (guaranteed 7 days, but again, most were already dead/well on their way), single ones for £1.50 which were in better condition, and some more expensive bouquets (but not as good as you'd expect for the cash).
eastbourne branch has plenty

They're alright - who cares what she thinks about how much they cost - it's the thought that counts - Even after one of the heads fell off in transit !

I'm looking forward to tomorrows threads from the cheapskates who have spent ages looking online for the cheapest deal on roses or other flowers and then complain when they turn out to be crap, just like we had last year.

That'll come in handy when she sticks a dozen cheapskate roses up your Jacksy!

Fortunately I don't need to bother on V day - neither of us are bothered about token gestures and commercialism of it all - My other half would be distinctly unimpressed to receive flowers on Feb 14th. Just so long as I don't forget to spoil her now and again through the rest of the year... :)

Remind me to never to try to sell you a kitten then..
You could always slip in a plastic rose and add a note saying 'my love will last as long as these roses' - which is apparently a fairly frequently done thing.

I've just been and bought 2 dozen :thumbs:Now you're going to have to top that next year or she'll might think that you don't love her as much!
Unlike blokes, women seem to remember what they get for Valentine's, birthdays, etc. I think they must write it in a diary or something. :suspect:

I went a bought 3 bunches yesterday for £6. They were the sorriest bunch of roses I have seen.
Then again I bought them for every girl in the office just to make them feel all special :help: As I only know too well what it feels like to be unloved on this the most commerical day of the year! What a sleaze I am!
