JVC 28WFT1 picture problem

I have recently bought the above TV and have noticed that I sometimes get horizontal lines flicker down the screen. I have not noticed them when whatching a DVD, so is it possible there is a problem with the receiver?

Has anyone had this problem with this TV or any other set?

I just bought this TV myself and had no problems at all.

First things, is it near any big speakers?

Try using a different connection lead

Try using a different telly?

Can you borrow a DVD player from a friend to try on your telly.

Hope that helps to diagnose the problem - could be a dodgy player or lead. But if the player works fine on another telly then perhaps it is the telly thats at fault.

I don't envy you taking it back to the shop - those things weigh a ton!

I have the Sub from my Digitheatre DTS behind the TV could this cause the flicker, although like I said no problems when viewing from another source.

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if it only happens when the sub is on, perhaps thats causing the distortion.

If I were you, I'd try watching a DVD without the amp on - see if the problem still happens and if it doesn't, flick on the power to the amp and get the sub working - if the problem then starts then try moving the sub around a bit - hopefully that might fix things :)
