I am trying to decide on a new camera, I would like to learn more about photography and different techniques and from what I read the manual controls on the Canon might be useful for this.
I currently have a Pentax Optio S4 as I thought I would carry it around with me but the photos look so bad I tend not to bother.
I am slightly worried about the performance of the Canon indoors though, I'll be using it to take a fair few pitures of my baby daughter and I have read that it can be noisy on some higher ISO settings compared to say a fuji F30. I don't really understand what that means but looking at the Fuji it doesn't seem to offer much manual control.
I would appreciate any real world experience anybody has with one of these.
