I like the Sugababes music (usually) but my God this is terrible!
This is just awful... Sugababes are ok... especially Heidi :luv:
I know it's a good cause and everything... Sugababes are better than this rubbish though.
Wow... I think that wins the award for the most appaling thing I've heard all year!

What, you mean like the current **** that Eric Prydz has "created"? He just attached a bass line to an already great song, and calls it a remix? Talentless and unimaginative are two words that spring to mind, in both of these cases.

What the hell?
Really, how does this work? The song is pretty much about eating pussy, and for those girls to sing "...you ain't seen nothin' til you're down on the muffin..." is quite bizarre.
Agreed, it's pretty racy.
[Run-D.M.C.]
Now there's a backseat/lover
That's always under/cover
And I talk til my daddy say
Said you ain't seen/nuthin
Til you're down on her/muffin
And there's sure to be a change in ways
Now there's a cheer/leader
That's a real big/pleaser
As far as I can remi/nisce
But the best thing/love it
Was her sister and her/cousin
And it started with a little kiss, like this
She starts/swingin
With the boys in/tune
And her feet just fly up in the air
Singin hey diddle diddle with a kitty in the middle
And they swingin like it just don't care
So I took a big/chance
At the high school/dance
With a lady who was ready to play
It wasn't me she was/foolin
Cause she knew what was she was/doin
when she told me how to walk this way
Chorus: Run-D.M.C. and Aerosmith
She told me to
Walk this way!
Talk this way!
(repeat 2X)
(repeat all 2X)
Well just gimme a kiss/some head!
Oooh, a-like this!
[Run-D.M.C.]
School girl/sleazy
With a/classy kind of sassy
Little skirt hangin way up her knee
It was three young ladies
In the school gym/locker
And they find they were lookin D
I was high school/loser
Never made it with a/lady
Til a boy told me somethin I missed
That my next door/neighbor
had a daughter/had a favor
And I gave the girl just a little kiss, like this
[Aerosmith]
She starts swingin with the boys in the school
with her feet flyin up in the air
Singing hey diddle diddle with a kitty in the middle
I was swingin like I didn't care
So I took a big chance at the high school dance
With a miss who was ready to play
Wasn't me she was foolin cause she knew what she was doin
when she told me how to walk this way
Chorus

I didn't like that song. Why is it that pop artists think that they are given the god given right to cover a rock song. It doesn't sound right and people wonder why I prefer the original version of that song.

Run DMC's version is pretty solid though.
And what about all the nu-metal/pop punk bands who've covered quite a few 80's pop bands between them?
Mr Majestik

Yup metal bands doing 'ironic' covers of pop tunes are 100 times worse.

The song is far from an untouchable classic, even in it's original guise.
Run DMC did far far better, and Aerosmith are ***** anyway surely?

Then barfed the whole chunk, when I saw how they've butchered the video.
Make it stop. Please!

Sonia Jackson? That's not even funny.
A guaranteed No1 I'm betting.
I can't even find the words to describe this.
It's not that bad - it's a bit crap, certainly in terms of a comic relief single, but it's no worse than can be expected. Vid's crap though.
I think I'm blinded by my love for Kimberley though...
It's not like these two 'bands' haven't produced some decent pop songs between them. If they'd have done an original song i expect it would have been 100% better.
i didn't think they were going to let the new Sugerbabe have a line, then she did, am not sure she can sing at all? Truly horrific song, and the video is about the same. Sonia made me laugh, she was probably there to make the other girls seem more attractive.
I heard it the other night and it's ruddy orfel!!!!

thats pretty horrific.........
:gag:
(not impressed by the guitar lines either, no groove in the playing - I'm surprised they didn't get a *name* player given that the riff is such an major element of the song overall)
Oh. My. Gawd.
That's...... terrible.
Whilst Girls Aloud are slightly easier on the eye than Steven Tyler, the song was awful, and the video even more so. As DM mentioned, Sonia Jackson - that's just wrong.

Agreed with all the comments on here! The song is awful :gag: Haven't brought myself to watch the video.
I remember comic relief songs being funny - I loved Livin' Doll by Cliff & The Young Ones. Why can't something like that be done with current comedy people? :(

You get off her!
It ain't a great effort, I must say. The Sugababes nearly pull it off, but the production doesn't suit Girls Aloud at all. Especially in the video where they attempt some sort of Love Machine routine in the video :(
That really was a waste of 4 minutes wasnt it ??
Bearing in mind its for Comic Relief, yet there's NOTHING funny about it

Would have thought the Little Britain cast would have been thought of for this......
It's terrible, this song, from start to finish. I always resent the runup to "Conspicuous Caring" events like this, being told by millionaire celebrities that I don't give enough money to charity and I need to become a better person like them through doing so, as it is. But to do it without any talent, style or panache - just a cynical butchering of a classic song... it's disgusting.

I guess we can count ourselves lucky (or not) they didn't choose Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl"
I have heard some unremitting toss in my time but good God in Govan that is spectacularly baaaaaad! There is no excuse for this, even charity.

Anyway, I'll avoid that video unless someone can tell me honestly that either Heidi, Cheryl or Kimberley whap 'em out or make sweet love to each other, in which case I may oblige my time.
Ooh, play nice, eh ? Don't get me wrong, comrades - it stinks to high heaven ! Even the most contrary ****** would be hard pressed to make a case for it. Just that the rush into mass slagging ... well, I smelt fish ... in a barrel.
