Has anyone got a JVC 32WFT1?
It's had blinding reviews from Home Entertainment but just want to know if anyone owns one and what they think.
Don't care if the sound is the worst in the world - only the picture quality interests me.
Cheers.

I've got the 28" model of this TV and think it's superb.
As you mentioned, you're not overly concerned with the sound output - and thats just as well, because I thought it a little dissapointing - but my amp soon took care of that ;)
It has four scart inputs on the pack, as well as composite inputs on the front too. Easy to setup and use with a nice remote that can control certain makes of DVD/Video too make it a great choice for me.
Auto-switching is nice too (my old telly didn't do this, so think it's great), what else? It has an eco feature, which (it claims) adjusts picture brightness/contrast etc. depending on light levels in the room and the flat screen gives a cracking picture too! There are LOADS of view modes too (i.e. auto, zoom etc.)
A great set (the 28") so I'd assume the same applies to the 32" - we certainly don't regret buying one. I previously onwed a 21" 4:3 television, but watching DVD now is just so much better, I wonder how we managed so long without it!
Had mine since April. The reviews are spot on and you`d be suprised how good the tv sounds. I can highly recommend it.

Has it really got 4 scart sockets ?
The 32" only has 3 and only one of them is RGB :(
Are there any 3 scart/2 rgb 32" WS sets out there other than the Loewe range ?

I thought it had - here is a downloadable PDF instruction manual for mine (and also your potential) telly here (http://www.jvc.co.uk/download/television/ib_av28wft1_32wft1.pdf) so maybe that could help :)
erm, maybe I was wrong about the four scart sockets - looks like it is three - but that's still plenty enough for me :)

io had the jvc, picture quality was good, but the geometry was awful, and i ended up sending two back! customer service off them was crap, so in the end i swapped to a hitachi model(3 scarts 2 rgb:D ), but if you could get hold of a service manual to adjust it i would say it is quite a decent t.v.

Chris, any noticeable difference in pic quality between the JVC and the Hitachi? 2 RGB scarts is nice!

Did you have any other problems aside from the geometry. I have a JVC and when I have an input other than PAL 50 (NTSC DVD/VID) there is a noticeble flicker, particularly in the bottom left corner, as well as a kind of whirly patern in the mid left and right. I have tried different DVD players with different leads etc, and all have the same result. However I tried an Lg player set to Pal with the Pseudo pal switched off and it was ok. I would had thought the TV would have no problem with NTSC and I am slightly annoyed that it apparently doesn't. I have contacted JVC for advice.
Also where did your purchase your set. Did they send an engineer round or did they just collect the set. I just want to prepare myself for potential hassle.
Any comments would be gratefully received.

right then...
no noticeable diffence to me in the pcture quality, if anything the hitachi is slightly better on the reds, yep i noticed that whirly pattern as well, as far as i could tell it seemed to happen a lot on non anamorphic stuff, i also noticed that the screen was bright in the middle and the sides had a slightly grey look to them, like there wasnt enough light reaching there or something. Also be prepared to fight to change it as jvc wheeled out the 'characteristic of the set' excuse! then they had to send an engineer to look at it and decide if it was broke ect..
good luck, but remember to quote this it seemed to help me... if im paying a grand for a tv i expect it to be right!

Cheers Chris.
According to http://www.avforums.com/ the WFT1 is being discontinued.
