ET, Re-release March 2002

Just found out that Speilberg is releasing ET in March. I think the guy has flipped because he's digitally editing out all guns. For example when the cops are gathered round at the end, instead of seeing guns in holsters you'll see walkie talkies.

Why now anyway? this movie is so dated.

This is old news, my understanding was that both versions of the film are going to be on the DVD. One with guns, one without.
