View Full Version : [Wii] Official Component Cable - £16.99 @ Amazon.co.uk
I've been using this forum a lot recently to pick up my bargains so I thought it was about time I shared one of my own. :)
Amazon.co.uk (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/redirect-home?tag=thedvdforums-21&site=dvd) finally have the official Nintendo Wii component cable in stock - and for £16.99, which seems to be cheaper than most places are selling it for.

You could buy a component switch box - there's a cheap manual one for sale at Play-Asia (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-1p3h.html) - search for 'YPbPr Power Box'
Allows you to plug in up to 3 component devices to the one TV input.
You mean 3 surely. There's also a Wii component cable on that site for about a fiver.
Bargain!

Have you got an amp? i'm using component switching on mine which solves that problem nicely, only slight issue is the amp cant pass through anything above 720p and i used to have my 360 running 1080i
apologies for going off topic but will there be any difference in quality between and RGB cable or a Component cable??

Got one of these, but it degrades the quality of the picture (faint fuzzy lines all over it)

Both are analogue connections, but Component can handle HD signals whereas RGB scart cannot.
Generally i usually find component to be a better quality picture, my Wii & 360 are both in with component, my Sky+ over RGB scart.
Its really down to personal preference to be honest, i prefer component over scart anyday.

No loss of signal quality on mine.

thanks for the reply...well i got a slight problem  ...my TV has component but the Wii component cable requires the red/white (stereo inputs) for sound and my TV only has scart for audio through component. So basically i get a lot sharper/richer picture but no sound....how can i solve this...i've been told summin about a scart switch box or summing similar (excuse the terminology) but could someone show me an example of what i actually need to get the sound working?? ;)

Got the component cable from Amazon today. Using it with a 'YPbPr Power Box' 3 way switch. My son says it's 'well good' which I think is the correct technical term for excellent. :) There are no signs of (faint fuzzy lines all over it).
