I have a Pioneer 444 with macrovision removed multi-regional all singing all dancing. There is 1 small problem when I record a Region 2 dvd to VHS it works fine but when I try to do the same with a Region 1 some work some don't.Some are silvers.

Can You Help.

Thanks in Advance.

I wouldn't mention silvers round here ;)

The problem is NTSC compatibility. Even though your video might have NTSC playback, thats exactly what is is - playback only, not record. You're either gonna need a multi standard video or a NTSC->PAL converter. Both available from somewhere like www.lektropacks.co.uk.

....or a DVD player which will convert the NTSC signal from R1 discs to true PAL/625/50 - like Tesco's Dansai and various others esp Samsung and LG. This is probably the cheapest way to do it.
