See PayPal are introducing (or have in the US) a virutal "MasterCard", which you can add funds to then use as a credit card on other online sites. I think this is only available in the US at the mo.
I don't have a credit card, but want to buy something from a site that only accept CCs. Anyone have any experience of some of the other providers of virtual credit cards than can be paid for with a UK debit card?
Or anyone used those 3v vouchers, that I guess have CC numbers on them?
Thanks
Used a virtual CC years ago without issue. Rather a good idea I thought.

I read something along the same lines ages ago (a few years i think) but cant remember the name or who it was in reference to. Make sure your protected and i mean make sure, as paypal arent well liked and they are well known, which im sure your aware for allowing people to be ripped off.

I thought Cahoot or someone like that offered virtual (shortlived) credit cards. Maybe they can be funded from their savings account?

I imagine you lose all the protection a real credit card offers you?

Yeah just booking a youth hostel abroad, and they only take CC from the UK. Have previously booked ok with them (using my old CC, which I've now got rid of)

Maybe they can be funded from their savings account?cahoot webcard (http://www.cahoot.com/cahoot_products/other_products/cahoot_webcard/webcard.html) is an excellent idea and has been around for years, it is generated only for the one transaction, you tell it how much for use it & it disappears. The amount comes off your main CC or bank account, & you have exactly the same protection as you would on any other card. So the concept of a virtual card is nothing new

thanks, though was looking for something to use today (and pay for it with my Switch card), Cahoot requires me to have an account with them already.

Xbox marketplace points and Wii points only accept Credit cards (unless I buy prepaid vouchers). Also my renewal for my web hosting is CC only. This would be very handy for me.
anyone actually used paypals one? want to try a dating (really!)website out for a week but don't want to use my actual card since i've been ripped by one in the past.
I already use entropay for some stuff.
