42 All-Time Classics

I was looking at that, it's cheap but is it any good? with 42 games I'd imagine most are rubbish?

actually I was thinking of something else, gamblings not her speciality.

I've only got Phoenix Wright, 42 All time classics, Metroid Prime and Nintendogs which are worthy so far but the latter will be more than suitable for your daughter and wholly recommended.

Remember that theres hundreds of GBA games you can buy for NDS too and I've seen loads that are 3in1 or 2in1 game paks

I don't think Phoenix Wright will be too suitable - might be quite difficult too.

I'd throw in 'Lost in Blue' and 'Touch Detective'

Wario is in short supply as its Christmas time, last year there were no DS's or Games anywhere !!

found lost in blue confusing and too fast. I'd not recommend it for a 7 year old at all.

I guess it really depends on the child, I found ‘Lost in Blue’ to be quite educational in a way once you got into it, it does have a steep learning curve but personally I think games should challenge you a bit.
Same with P Wright, if you have played the game before hand and agree to the contents (Murder, the scene that looks like the woman has been raped) at least then you can point them in the right direction and make them think about it for a while.

Of course games should be fun, etc, etc but a few games out there can test you in the right ways.

Me too, my daughter of 9 has been playing this virtually non stop for the past couple of weeks.

my 8 y/o daughter loves playing nintendogs, super mario bros and hamsters.
Value for money i think goes to the super mario bros as its got loads of extra mini games on.
Bought 42 all time classics for her couple of days ago. Yeah the graphics arent great but for the cost, (i paid a tenna at tesco) its great value for money, and even if you pay double that its worth it.
She's also got Sims petz, which i'd say is a bit to difficult.
