Me = seller
Sold an ADSL modem to someone in Italy. Only went for £4. Paypal.
Posted Airmail Small Packet and got a proof of postage.
2 weeks later, I've had 3 emails in 24 hours from the buyer. All saying item never arrived "what do you intend to do?"
Advice?
Do I just refund his paypal now seeing as its only £4+p&p then put in a claim with royal mail?? Or should I ask him to wait a bit longer (RM says 28 days before I can initiate a claim)

but can't claim from RM for another 2 weeks - surely should wait until then, just in case turnsd up in the meantime
Email him a scan of CoP and say that international delivery can sometimes get delayed. Tell him you'll refund him once the RM "Waiting period" is over.
Til then your just going to loose the postage money, even if the kit is valueless - I don't know many on ebay that will say "Its arrived, let me pay you again"

Post in Italy is the most fraudulent in the world, I've heard. I have been stung sending items there as well, so refuse to post there now if I am selling internationally.

Really :eek:
I've just sold something for £25 to someone in Italy. They have paid the price for standard postage so I think I might just pay a little extra for International Signed for rather than risk taking a hit.
Thinking back I have only ever had three things not arrive and 2 of them were sent to Italy :suspect:

chances are you won't get much joy from RM as they'll say it was lost in Italy.

the only thing I have ever had problems with was when a buyer in Italy said the item never turned up. Won't sell there anymore.

Hmmm good point... my wife sent an item to Italy and they also claimed they never received it.
Maybe Italy is the NEW Nigeria!?

So is it acceptable to put "NO ITALIANS" in my auctions then, or will I get done for being a Jade-style racialisto ???
i would just list the countries that you will post to ie UK, US etc.
