I've just purchased a used grip out of the classifieds that was without instructions. I am attempting to fit it to the body of my 400D but what do you have to do with the existing battery flap in order to get it on there?

Think you unclip it and there is a wee retaining slot for it actually in the Battery Grip to store it mate.

Not very clear instructions, but sure someone will explain it better.

Cheers. :)

Had the same problem myself when I first looked at it..

As Professor Abronsius says it just unclips and slots into the grip very nicely.

Must admit the battery grip is one of the coolest things I bought, makes the camera feel alot more substantial and makes taking portrait shots easier with the additional shutter button.
