Anybody seen this film, hadn't heard of this until a mate told me about it. Is it any good?

I've tried twice (the second time with a girlfriend whose favourite film it was), but I just couldn't get into it at all - it was far too wackily self-conscious an attempt to create a cult movie for my taste.

That said, both times I saw it on pan-and-scan VHS, and given that the original was 2.35:1 I imagine I missed a fair chunk. And John Lithgow's berserk villain is worth the price on its own, but then again that holds true for most films that he's in.

Do you like -

Doc Savage
Ghostbusters
Men in Black
Evolution
The Blob remake
Tremors

If yes, then see it!

Very, very silly but as it was directed by the guy who wrote BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA that is hardly surprising.

Well worth a purchase in my book.

Ah, Doc Savage. Now there's a great movie.
I liked Buckaroo, then again I understood what was going on in Twin Peaks and Dune!:D
