Have just come back from Toys R Us in Purley Way - Croydon - London, and they have a load (20 or so on shelves) of Donky Konga Jungle Beat for 9.99 with bongo's. So grabbed myself a pair.
I ordered from Play for 17.99 and the order was cancelled so if anyone is in the same boat it might be worth checking your local toys r us.
just got back from there meself and was about to post !

Cheers Beastly  picked up Jungle Beat this morning from Croydon. :)

The Bongo's connect via the normal controller ports. Isn't the Wii entirely wireless?? Or does it have a GC controller port?
Edit, just looked and you connect the classic controller to the Wii-mote, and the socket looks different to the GC controller socket. So until someone releases an adaptor I don't think you can use this with a Wii. :(

you can plug the bongos into the wii just fine...
whether the game itself will work is another matter.
just check ninty's site, i believe there's a list of compatible games somewhere.

Fantastic! :) Also from Wiki.
Backward compatibility
The top of the Wii unit showing GameCube accessory slots. The Wii console is backward compatible with all Nintendo GameCube software and most GameCube peripherals. This backwards compatibility is achieved with the help of the slot-loading drive being able to accept GameCube discs, and a set of four GameCube controller ports and two Memory Card slots, concealed by flip-open panels.[1] A GameCube controller is required to play GameCube games, as neither the Wii Remote nor the Classic Controller functions in this capacity. A GameCube memory card is also necessary if you want to save, as the Wii internal flash memory will not save GameCube games. Nintendo has stated that the console is not compatible with the GameCube modem adapter, broadband adapter, Game Boy Player, AV cable, or AC adaptor.

Unlike the backwards compability on the PS3 and Xbox 360, every UK Gamecube title is playable on the Wii.
Just been back to the Newbury Park branch and they've restocked the Bargain section, 5 x Jungle Beat/Bongos' and 5 x Donkey Konga/Bongos!

I got Jungle beat the other day from the York store, it looks like they had another 3 or 4 copies. I also picked up the last xbox connection centre block for £2.99, it plugs into the back of the xbox and allows you to connect your own RGB scart lead, component cables, S-video or Composite connection, it also has an optical out. It was the last one or I'd have picked up a few more for forum members.

Is there any other cheap GC stuff or is it literally just DK/JB?

Got the set that a friend picked up from Toys'R'Us in Edinburgh for me which turned out to be Donkey Konga 1 (which is handy since I already had the sequel). He held onto Jungle Beat since that is a single player game but while he was visiting we were joined by my flatmate for a fun 3 player session on DK1

One of the best platform games of recent years.
I picked three up at Gateshead on Saturday.
One for me, one for a friends son's birthday and one for me and my nephew (I split the pack, he got the game and I got a spare set of bongos).
Originally I had two sets and one set of bongos (which were selling for around seven quid) but then I thought for an extra three quid my nephew could have the game. He already has two sets of bongos.
They had around 10 Jungle Beat sets and around eight bongos only. No DK1 sets :(
Oops! Cheers OP!

Picked up two sets of Bongo's @ 7.87 each and 1 bag for 2.99 at Bolton. They only had 1 set left and Metro for 9.99 and Medal of Honor for 4.99. Nothing else. Does anyone know where I can get the games from other than Ebay?
