Help,
I got the Home Cinema kit but not quite sure how to set it up! - I've connected the speakers and done all the hardware stuff.
Not too sure about the settings though, and the manual isn't very clever like!!
Help!!

Welcome to the forums:D
You really just need to set up the volume settings for the seperate speakers.
General rule of thumb is to put them in test mode then set them like so.......Centre slightly higher in volume than front left and rights........rears slightly lower than fronts. (depends how close the rears are to your listening position)
For sub put on some bass heavy music start at full volume and work down until you can only JUST hear it, a dull rumble is all thats needed for home cinema.
Again this is only a VERY rough guide, so experiment.

Hey thanks for that.
In the settings it seems like there is a setting for 1m, 2m, 5m etc.... is this the distance (metres) between speakers or sumthin??
I'll try what you said tonite.
its the distance between the speakers and the listening position :)

Cheers matey,
Still not so sure bout the functions...... normal, dolby 5.1, hall, dance, game....... which one for NORMAL TV?
S
I dunno what the DVS300 offers but on my sony amp I use:
DVD: Auto Format Decode (or just DD/DTS)
TV/SKY: normal surround (pro-logic)
all that hall, dance, game, etc just changes the ambience of what you're listening to (e.g. a concert/MTV or something) I don't use them at all, just play around with them and set it to what you prefer :)

I am trying to play my home-made CD's on my new Home Cinema thing but it doesn't want to know.
Any hacks available to allow it to read them?
